Hi, I’m Kathryn Hayes-Waldhuber, an educator, creator, and lifelong learner with a passion for helping children discover the joy of learning—both in the classroom and beyond it.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked alongside students, educators, and families through literacy, assessment, inclusive education, intervention, and professional learning. Those experiences have shaped a simple belief at the heart of my work: meaningful learning grows from strong relationships, thoughtful teaching, and an understanding of how children learn.
That passion led to The Connected Educator, which remains a dedicated space for practical, evidence-informed educational content, resources, and professional learning.

My creative work also extends beyond the classroom. I’ve always been drawn to the way stories can teach, connect, and become part of the memories families carry with them. That idea led me into children’s writing and the development of experiences that bring storytelling, learning, and tradition together.
HW & Co. Creative is the home where these parts of my work meet. I’m currently developing new educator resources, children’s books, and family experiences. Whether something begins with a classroom need, a story idea, or a family tradition, the goal is the same: create something thoughtful, useful, and meaningful.
